A Little About Me

"About" sections are weird, aren't they? Besides the awkwardness of writing about yourself, you have to capture all of the intricacies of who you are and what you do with a budget of like 150 or so words.

Frankly, it's a ridiculous ask. And now I've gone and wasted a third of my word budget already...

The child of an African lawyer and an American teacher, I spent my first few years of life in Cameroon before moving to Chicago and eventually landing in Houston, where I spent my formative years.

After trying my hand at college basketball for two years at Dartmouth College, I transferred to the University of Texas, where I earned degrees in Sociology and Journalism.

A few months after graduating, I took a job at IBM telling stories about Enterprise Design Thinking: a framework for practicing human-centered design at scale.

From there, I had the opportunity to work on a ton of cool stuff, from IBM's SXSW presence to interactive Watson experiences and education programs for

IBM Design’s interns and new hires.

In 2020, I quit my job to go full-time on Tradeblock, a trade-focused social marketplace for sneakerheads that I founded with two childhood friends.

In my free time, I lose money on cryptocurrency, play an unreasonable amount of Catan, and outline dystopian novels I will likely never write.
